Recent Assignments DMP,PD,3D Sunday, February 27, 2011

So much for blogging more often. Here's my recent assignments and believe it or not, I'm going into my 3rd year in Singapore Polytechnic.

Digital Matte Painting. Created using a few pictures for the sky, the railings and the background is MacRitchie Reservoir
Edited again to be used in my 3D image projection project. I had to model most of the things in this picture. As a tree would be more difficult, i decided to put a Japanese Arch instead.
My Production Design assignment. Basically this module is to learn the design aspects of film. This assignment is Character design.

I came up with the story of a girl, Iliana, who got kidnapped by a mad puppeteer who decided to make her into a puppet. He treats her like a puppet also, painting her face and body. He kept her for days in his basement, dyeing her skin white daily. On the day of her to be the star of his puppet show, he painted her very detailed, rosebud lips and doe eyes. Proof that he does not see her as human is when he hooks her hands to be suspended on strings. She managed to painfully yank one hand free of the hook, but the pain from it prevented her from trying to escape the other hand. She won’t stop screaming for help though, so he sews her lips together, preventing her from even opening her mouth ever again.

I have more pictures of it. Lazy to dig them up. I like my hands here. Heh

My 3D work.
To compose 3D objects into a picture. Guess which ones are real and which in 3D.
This is another 3D assignment. To reflect enviroment onto 3D objects. The picture i used was Plaza Singapura during Christmas time. My idea was a wine tasting event. So i modelled wine bottles and wine glasses and the placecard which shows what wine is at this Station.
All above is modelled using Maya 3D.
