Whoa. Its been ages since i blogged. Had tons of stuff to do and im never free even when i'm online.

Anyway. I just recently joined Japaneeez Cultural Club since most of my "friends" are there. By friends i mean the usual B and D. Hah. Boob and Cough.

So since Ben&Jerry's Ice cream had a Buy1 free 1 thingey going on on the 1st of July, everyone decided to go have ice cream. Frankly even with discount its damn expeeennsive.

During the MRT ride to City Hall. The guys (I was the only girl then) was being just plain sick so me and rong just stood the other end of the car. Haha.

Waited in CityHall for more people to come.

The only picture i took is of my ice cream. Not too bad, somewhere between Baskin robbins and Haagen Daz? It was my first time even knowing about Ben and Jerrys. (Maybe cuz we dont have it in Malaysia?) I like chocolate flavoured ice cream so i got like, Chocolate and Something-With-Chips-But-I've-Forgotten-The-Name

World Cyber Games 2009

JC Club just attended this event because there was going to be a mini cosplay showcase thingey. My first time ever seeing cosplay in real life. Yes i'm damn "noob".
The event was filled with mostly Dota loving, Left For Dead worshipping and console games crazy people.

Dota Challenge i think. I wasnt sure what was going on =.=

Garena was giving out free Tshirts to participants of their new game.

Cherry Credits! I know only of HabboHotel from them. (Noob alert) Stop saying the word already okay! I can hear you.

Then we sat around and looked at the people photographing the cosplayers. JiaQing was in full gear attacking cosplayers. Okay i'm joking, you know what i mean.

Anyway. Limited colours today as i cant find other bright colours. May be adding straws to the martini glasses.

Its me VANITY.

Ooh it seems ages since i last posted. We(poly ppl) were released for mid term break. It was was SUPPOSED to be a MONTH holiday for us DDM-ers since there is one week where its MSTest week. (There isnt many exams in Digital Media and this was one of the times where we didnt have ANY tests).
So we assumed we had 3 weeks + 1 week holiday.
But alas, reading the Blackboard (our online "school" thingey) it says DDM classes will go on as usual during MST week.

As EC boys will put it, "potong stim"
Hehe.

My class had a photography trip to Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve. Was for our Digital Visual design module. Its just a random study trip where we get to practice taking pictures (LOL?) and have our lecturer Mr Leon guide us during this trip.
Frankly.. even taking the same pictures my lecturer took, mine looks crap and shitty in comparison.
Here's some shots. I cant upload the whole thing since they're SOOO large in size. This is a snapshot of some of the things i took. Unedited for now since Mr Leon wants us to show him our 5 BEST SHOTS. Keeping my "best" shots first for now. These are random chosen ones.

Calissa my classmate took this random picture of me. Was watching the koi fishes in the pond. Thats me exclaiming "OMG THERES TURTLES IN THERE!". Its actually terrapins but it was in fit of excitement.

I saw it and liked it so i asked her to take another one.
Scrunched up face. Hehe.

Really enjoyed the trip except maybe got bitten by one too many mosquitos. Chad got raped upside down by the mosqutos and had fatty bite marks all over his arms and legs. Looked disease-y.

Billy actually said, "Ugh I'm hungry" as this shot was taken.

Bryan actually took the mic and proceeded to hold it in an obscene position after I took this shot. He wanted me to take a pic of him in that obscenity. Hehe.

Anyway,

ALOT OF DRAMAS I TELL YOU. (Long grandma story)

We actually left the dolly (its like wheels for the camera tripod's legs so easier to move around) in school. Its worth $140 about 300 ringgit?

Anyway we were sooooo convinced we lost it. It was a Friday.

Then on Monday we realised it was gone. Went back to school to search like hell. Nowhere.

Asked Subway people,

KFC people,

Cleaners,

Plate washers,

Cleaners who washed plates,

Still nowhere to be found.

Then then Birry and darren wanted to ask the people who were in charge of the pool. MIA.

Darren realised the footage taken on that day wasnt usable. Darn it. Had to reshoot.

Shot other scenes first in JOHOR BAHRU.

Yes they came to JB to film.

Realised we wasted $140 when we didnt actually start filming.

Filmed at same location the next week on Saturday in school.

People in charge of pool came to ask if we lost something

"YES WE DID! A DOLLY"

And he went to his office to get it for us.

Remind myself to buy him some cookies or something with a Thankyou note. Hmmm.

Filming has ended now we're left with the editing. And thousand other homework which i shall attempt to finish before holidays end (on the 29th).

Random lunch with the fatty. He paid for my Unagi Bento. Hehehehe.

That was my hectic week.

THANKS MY LUVLY GROUP MEMBERS. I know i'm not exactly Miss Easy-to-work-with as i tend to yell and nag alot. We finally finished filming now we can proceed to do out individual assignments.

PS: Looking for a main male actor for my Video assignment who can travel to and from JB and Singapore. If you're from SG there's accomodation provided (you will sleep with the boys of my group). If you're from JB... Its a one day trip to singapore if youre good in acting.
Also looking for calefares/crew who want to help in the production.

Alot of assignments. Madness. I'm more busy during the holidays than school days. Worse part is that the lecturers are quite hard to contact (They dont like to answer phone calls)

So the last week i went for Cheer Bonding Camp. Was held in school then at Sentosa. Honestly it was very fun and well.

During SP Experience Day yesterday. Alot of sec school students there. ABout 800+ if i'm not mistaken from alot of schools around Singapore.

I'm weird there. High waisted pleated skirt and tube top. Leg was breaking into two in those heels. It has a canvas feel to it. Had blisters that night. Hahaha.

Struggling to survive this week. Assignments please find your way to complete yourselves. No more CCA camps for now. Hopefully can practice some stuff like photoshopping and 3D during term break. And maybe a massive 1 day sleep. I feel like I'm ripping at the seams now. I think i overworked myself the past week giving myself a massive headache over the weekend with a fluctuating temperature. Stabilized for now with a sexy sultry voice.

Managed to finish most of the things i should do. Script writing done. Was so panicky in doing it and realised not everyone took it seriously.Will go to school tomorrow for Web Publishing though some say they will just skip it.

Wonder why i even bother at all sometimes.

Knowing me, i would probably not do this post until next week or something as it only happened YESTERDAY.

I might actually be the first one to post about it since i googled the event and there's only promo's on giveaways for the event but not the event itself

Anyway!!!
My parents brought me along for Jack Daniels Global Tour 2009-Singapore. Its so nice being 18 really.

Its an all expense paid trip to Singapore (wahahha, like its so far away) where the itenerary includes FREE FLOW OF JACK DANIELS.

I mean.. where the itinerary includes going to Hard Rock Cafe to meet the likes of some Asian aritsts like DJ Spydermonkey.. And some other people O.o
DID I MENTION MY MUM TOOK PICTURES WITH MTV's UTT?!

As this thing is a NOT PLANNED thing. I wore suckily and didnt have accesories with me. So sorry Harveena, i borrowed your Heart necklace that i left in my bag wanting to give back to you=.=

I only followed my parents for the second day thing which was supposed to include Duck Tours (haha), Singapore Flyer visits (all free too!) and the bigass Hong Kong canton group Grasshopper's concert.. SR seems to know who they are.

Maybe its like during your parents era. FASTER ASK YOUR PARENTS COME AND LOOK HERE.

Back to the topic.
We stayed in Orchard Hotel Singapore. (I went there after Freshman Orientation Camp REUNION. Dont ask, i dont know why theres a reunion for a CAMP). I slept since i was super tired from the barbeque.
My parents were out for the event in Hard Rock Cafe... and they didnt go for the Duck tours or Singapore Flyer thingey the next day.
Here's the lobby full of people excited about the concert that i had no idea about.

Here's the funny part okay. When the band came out, the crowd beside us was like, SCREAMING ON TOP OF THEIR LUNGS.
And we were not quite sure who they were right,.. so even the Grasshopper guys were saying in cantonese, "IS OUR SONG NOT UPBEAT ENOUGH FOR YOU? MUST I SHOW MORE SKIN?" Cuz he was already wearing quite sexily for a guy..

All their costumes are madly themed. First was a Alice in Wonderland thing with chess Knights and stone man (dont ask). And here's some of the dancers with weird headgears.

After people started pushing their way to the front.. being 4th row from the front didnt help anymore!!!!.. Here's kiasu me.

HE WAS SO CLOSE TO ME!!!!! (and i barely know who they are)

Then we got to meet them backstage. I need to get the pictures of them and myself from some guy...

OH OH AND I MET JEANNETTE AW. The main actress for The Little Nyonya. Actually she's not very nice. I dont know if she was busy or didnt really care for people but her "bodyguards" (tomboys) were all like.. "NO! PICTURES LATER!!!". Probably she wanted to take pictures with the Grasshopper guys since shes sooooo famous she can take pictures with whoever she wants.
In my opinion, the "bodyguards" were barely promoting here. More like hogging her.

This stuff is delicious. Jack Daniel's Whiskey Caramel. I had to control not to have too much.

1/4 of the buffet table(s).

Free flow of Jack Daniels yo!!! Thats my mum waiting for some green tea. Haha

Booze!

Anyway. We left the stadium about 12am at night. Most of the group left for Clarke Quay while my parents and myself went back to the hotel.. Collected our stuff and drove back to JB.Reaching home at 3am..

Okay its been ages since i last posted since nothing's been fairly blog worthy going on so this is just a quick summary of my first and second week in Singapore Poly. If you dont know i'm currently in Digital Media.

This is me in DVDE class. Digital Visual Design class. I'm not sure whatg E stands for. Hmm
So the module is basically divided into Photography and visual design (photoshop and photo editing etc). MY lecturer was introducing the camera functions and explained the functions of all the tiny buttons i never bothered about.

Its not a DSLR anyway =( But it looks bigass enough.

And this is my products during 3D class. 3D is NOT EASY OKAY.

I didnt have my own camera on my birthday party day so all these pictures are sent by my friends SiWei and LiYing.

Siwei and Harveena were the firstest to arrive. Haha. I dont know why I'm acting cute here. Just to annoy Harveena. This is the only shot that got on her blog. I wonder what happened to the other 20 we took. O.o

On another note, what Li Ying said was right. You wont believe how relieved you are to see a person you know in the customs/imigrations checkpoint. The people I've never once spoken to or barely knew their names i'm NOW sitting with in the bus and planning to go Singapore with together.

Each time i see a familiar face, even if its someone i barely know i would wave frantically and they would wave back in relief. It feels so lonely in school sometimes having to start ALL OVER AGAIN with the ,"What is your name? Birthday? Where do you live? what do your parents do?". All my friends already know these things and i'm in the process of retelling my life to people i barely know.

So far I've made quite a number of friends in my class. My class rep (monitor) is Bobby or Lindsay Lohan as he calls himself. He would sms everyone to meet at the MRT station and walk to class together etc. He would also make it a point to make us have lunch together =.= AND WEAR SAME COLOURED OUTFITS. You tell me funny or not.

Then theres Darren and Billy. The two people who think i'm the craziest person they've met.

It has only been a WEEK and lecturers have already piled up assignments on our head. My MSN list of classmates are "DDM/1B/23" all have their MSN nicks saying, "10 sketches, 2 photo,1 bug list, 1 script".

10 sketches is for Digital Visual Design assignment. We sketch what we want to do for the Digital Collage and the lecturer will discuss which is the best you should do

2 photo is for DVD also. He wants to "get to know us" so 2 photos about ourselves (hobby etc)

1 bug list is where we have to write a list of what BUGS us every day. The alarm clock? The choosing clothes for the day? The bathing process?

1 script is for Storytelling module. We have to write a 5 minute script for a video

We also have to DO that video for Video&Audio module after teacher approves our script.

LETS JUST SAY that WHOEVER SAID POLY WAS FUN AND NON STRESSFUL IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A POLY STUDENT (Or from Digital Media)
